Clinics
We bring a variety of clinicians to DHF each year, all of whom are proficient instructors of the biomechanics-based way of riding. Mary Wanless, who created the Ride With Your Mind program of biomechanic riding, comes at least three times a year. Heather Blitz, USET Team Gold and Individual Silver medal winner at the 2011 Pan Am Games, also comes to teach here, but in 2012, she's busy getting ready for the London Olympics, so Jen took those DHF clients who wanted to go with her while she trains with Heather for two months this winter in Wellington, FL. Clinics will be posted here as soon as they're scheduled.
Other clinics DHF provides include Ride-A-Test and RWYM Teacher Training, which is only open to invited instructors. Click the links for more information.
Please note our NEW POLICIES starting in 2012:
1. All of our clinics typically have long waiting lists and we have had trouble collecting timely payment from participants in the past, so if we do not receive clinic participant's required $250 deposit payment within two weeks of participant notifying organizer of their desire to take a spot, and/or final payment is not received in its entirety by the posted closing date of each clinic, that rider's spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list. Make sure to not lose precious and coveted riding spots by getting required payments in promptly and thank you for your understanding.
2. We love our active clients and reward them for their loyalty! We provide a discount to our active DHF clients on almost every clinic held at DHF--see specific clinic details for more information. Active clients are defined as taking at least four lessons per month from a DHF instructor. Each event's discounted rate will be listed along with the full price for people who don't meet the criteria of DHF active clients.
The auditing fee for most DHF clinics is $25 per day or $12.50 per half day for all clinics unless specifically noted in the clinic description

McPhail Center Seminar June 2 & Private Evaluations June 3
USDF University Accredited
Narelle Stubbs and Nicole Rombach from the McPhail Equine Performance Center in MI are coming to DHF! Click here for more info about what will be reviewed in this seminar. The first day will be seminar format with Q&A and demos by Narelle and Nicole for auditors. The second day will not be open to auditors because Narelle and Nicole will conduct private evaluations of individual horses at a cost of $300 per horse. Each horse will get a thorough 2 to 2 1/2 hour evaluation including an overall physical evaluation and gait analysis both on a lunge line and/or under saddle from which they’ll develop a strengthening and conditioning plan likely including stretches and exercises specific for each horse’s individual needs. If you want your horse evaluated, you must have your vet fill out the Veterinary Consent Form (click here to download it) and bring it with you to the clinic. Click here for more information. The horse evaluations clinic is full but we have a waiting list. Contact Lynda@myDHF.com to sign up for the demo-lecture day June 2 or to put your horse on the waiting list.
Please come early, be prepared to show your USDF membership card and pay $5 at the door in order to sign up for USDF University Credit.
