Young Apprentice: Horse Training; Dressage, Eventing, Jumping and Sidesaddle Lessons

My name is Helen Trimeloni and I’m one of Dancing Horse Farm’s young professional apprentices. I have been riding for over 15 years, and started out in eventing. I also ride side saddle and occasionally fox hunt. I was lucky enough to get my wonderful horse, Willy, an off-track Thoroughbred, 10 years ago. We switched to dressage shortly thereafter, but I was never able to find a dressage coach that I liked enough to take regular lessons from. We slowly made our way to 4th level largely through trial and error. After graduating from Ohio State University, I took a dressage job in Florida, but was again disenfranchised by what I experienced. I found Jennifer and Dancing Horse Farm through a friend, and took some lessons. The style of riding I saw here was very different.  I was skeptical at first, but the horses looked happy and comfortable in their work, so I decided to give it an honest try. I’m so glad I did; my horse has never gone better, and my position has improved tremendously. I have since earned my USDF Silver Medal riding side saddle. I am looking forward to seeing you around the barn!
Helen Trimeloni teaches Intermediate to Advanced Dressage and Side Saddle, and is a USDF Silver Medalist.
