Jennifer B (Young horse perspective) Jen has been instrumental in helping me start my young horse in dressage. From bridle and bit fitting to figuring out a girth option to gaining balance and forwardness into correct contact – Jenn works with it all. Jenn has the experience, knowledge and that special ‘something’ which provides support and direction for the horse, the horse’s health, tack, rider and rider position. All-in-all it has helped make Wynston and me a healthy, happy and correct horse and rider. Jennifer B, USDF Bronze and Silver medalist |

Dear Jen,
I want to thank you for all the help last week. I am very excited about Noah’s growth and potential for the future! Thank you for getting us on the ‘road’ and for continuing to be interested in our partnership.
I love coming to your farm and always wish I could stay longer; that is my goal for the upcoming year. I know I have referred to DHF as ‘your little piece of heaven’ before and I want to repeat that sentiment. I always learn so much, have a great time, feel so welcomed and feel so excited about riding while there. Your expertise, enthusiasm and ability to communicate is so above and beyond the norm; I am thrilled that I get to take advantage of these qualities!
Thank you and see you in October. (or maybe at Devon!)

Hi Jen,
I was just reading your mom's post on FB re the 2 clinic's you have scheduled for this Fall. I hope to be able to audit Mary's mid-Nov. clinic, if time permits. I definitely over-extended this year, committing to work 23 shows in 29 weekends. So...one more weekend hopefully won't be a problem!
Anyway, I really, really wanted to commend you, Lenny, and your Mom for the incredible job you are doing in marketing, promotion, communication, education and so much more for our Sport Horse industry. Your vision and execution of same is nothing less than incredible!
As, of course you know, I'm very familiar with your farm (at least the "before" part), and in just a few short years, you've taken a property with "potential" to national prominence on the sport horse map! Being a 24 yr Realtor...which truly is "marketing specialist", I can watch and see and appreciate the job you have done and are not only continuing, but expanding!
The future seems bright indeed! Very, very well done!!

To Jen, Lenny, Lori, and others - A big thank you for letting us come visit your farm, it was such a treat and awesome opportunity that I'm very thankful for. You, your farm employees, and extended service people welcomed us with open arms and treated us as if we were full time boarders. Again, so lucky to have had this opportunity!!! My hope is that we can return next summer.

To Martha (Yates, Jen's clinic organizer) & Lindsey
Thanks so much for this weekend -- I think it was my best clinic experience ever.
At first I agreed to participate out of loyalty -- to support Martha! -- but I got more excited when I went to Jennifer's website and read up on her credentials. Still, I was worried that the sessions would be packed full of special Mary Wanless jargon that I wouldn't understand. I do think those of us not in the know were introduced to many of Mary's key ideas. But Jennifer did a wonderful job of not delivering a one-size-fits-all version, tailoring her advice to each rider and each horse. Her knowledge of human anatomy and function was impressive, her diagnosis of my deficits seemed spot on, and of course she won me over when she kissed Linden on the snout a couple of times on day one while trying to assess the flexibility of his poll.
Overall, I came away energized and hopeful about the progress Linden and I might make, especially for improving his left lead canter. The workshops were also great. Jennifer encouraged questions and answered them wonderfully, and the hands-on stuff was really fun.
Of course being back at Catlin was also lovely. Being surrounded by understated elegance is always lovely, and being literally surrounded by Brommelsiekis (Park) is beyond compare. I was stoked to be able to do cool-down rides across the street. We did the full circuit today; I'm so proud that Linden and I can ride out like that. We even trotted some of the uphill and curvy sections of the path. Lindsey -- don't ever take the Park for granted, it's beyond special.
And of course it was neat that Linden and Moon Pie became night-time bffs.
I hope you consider inviting Jennifer back sometime this Fall before she heads off to Wellington.

Dancing Horse Farm is without a doubt, one of the best teaching and training farms I have ever had the pleasure to be associated with. I have looked and you can look, but you will not find a better place to bring your horse than Dancing Horse Farm.

5 years ago, I purchased a horse who quickly realized that she could bully me because I was too afraid to stand up to her. 2 and a half years later I began working with Jen when she came to Wisconsin for clinics. Breezy was acting up to the point of being dangerous and I was losing hope. Jen asked if she could take over for a little while and what she did next changed my entire relationship with Breezy. We were able to work through the typical “Breezy moment” and since then we have become an incredible team. The picture shown was taken 2 years after Jen’s first encounter with Breezy. With the tools Jen has given me, Breezy and I have built a bond that I never thought could be possible. I can honestly say that I don’t know if I would still own Breezy if it weren’t for Jen’s help and training.

There are just no words that express the appreciation and gratitude that I have for Jen Truett and what she has given my mustang, Lucero, and I! I found that while Lucero is super talented, sensitive and willing, my guy has also proven to be one the trickier horses that I’ve ridden. I sent him to Jen’s for 3 weeks this summer, and I bootcamped right along with him. The ability that Jen has to not only connect with the horse and rider, but truly break it down and explain the what, the how and the why is truly remarkable.
We made subtle, yet super critical changes in the way I was riding and asking him to carry himself and it has resulted in a horse that is more in front of my leg consistently, swinging his back like I hadn’t felt before and overall a happier partner! As eventers, we’ve become more competitive in our dressage, and our jumping, we’ve found a completely different mode of communication that has resulted in a happier and even more willing horse with steering and brakes in a loose ring snaffle (versus the Pelham we used to jump in!!). Over the moon with our progress!!! Just wish she was closer to us so that we could ride more regularly together!
