Sophie Bayer is a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist, and a USEF "R" judge.
Sophie has ridden for over 25 years. She started in the hunter/jumper discipline but then quickly changed to eventing. Her first horse was an off the track thoroughbred named Out and About who she trained and successfully competed through training level. She enjoyed eventing, but found the discipline and focus required by dressage to be intriguing. After a few years, she changed her training focus to exclusively dressage. Together, they trained and showed through the levels through Intermediare I earning Sophie her USDF Bronze and Silver medals along the way. Sophie successfully brought along her own Dutch gelding, Red (pictured), from unstarted to Grand Prix in 2021 and earned her Gold Medal. Sophie has enjoyed the education she acquired through the USEF judging programs and enjoys sharing her judge's eye with her students. Sophie began riding with Jen after meeting in the USDF "L" Program and moved to DHF as Jen's Assistant in 2015. She has trained with numerous trainers and clinicians over the years and she works to combine the best knowledge that she has gathered from various people in her teaching. She continues to educate herself, works to improve her skills and always enjoys finding the right exercise to help a student/horse combination improve. Jen's Assistant Trainer: Haley Reineke is a USDF Bronze and Silver medalist.
Haley is a dedicated and passionate dressage trainer with over two decades of experience in the saddle. She's absolutely thrilled to be a part of the team at Dancing Horse Farm as an assistant trainer and share her love of dressage with both horses and riders. Originally from Muskegon, Michigan, Haley began her equestrian journey at age 9 with weekly dressage lessons and active involvement in her local 4-H club. (She still takes lessons, because let's be honest, dressage judges can be intimidating!) Haley has a special talent for developing horses, as evidenced by her two self-started chestnut mares, Bella and Gabby. With Bella, she has achieved both her bronze and silver medals and is currently pursuing her gold. This dynamic duo even claimed the title of Regional Champion at Intermediate 1 in 2022! Gabby is her exciting young horse project, showcasing Haley's ability to bring out the best in every horse. Haley's early experience teaching at a ranch and resort instilled in her a passion for helping riders of all levels achieve their goals. She brings a positive and encouraging approach to her teaching, combined with a deep understanding of dressage principles. Haley is excited to contribute her expertise and enthusiasm to create a fun and rewarding learning environment for all DHF/TDTC! Contact Jayne to schedule: [email protected] Pricing:
